The short version
Secret Menu is a Brand & Creator Consultancy in Los Angeles, working with brands and creators at an inflection point. Founded by Justin Taylor, who spent 20 years building brands at Nike, Activision, Twitter and WWE, and launched Kai Cenat's TONE nationally in Target.
Most brands don't need another agency. Most creators don't need another deal. They both need someone senior enough to figure out what comes next. That's the work.

Who Justin Taylor is
Justin Taylor founded Secret Menu after more than 20 years on the brand side, inside the companies that set the bar for marketing to the audience that decides what's cool. He does the work himself and pulls in a team of experts as the work needs them. The person on the first call is the person doing the work.
- Nike. Nike Basketball. Strategy, development and execution on Mamba Day, built around Kobe Bryant's final game: 2.9B owned and earned impressions, Nike Basketball's best social campaign ever. Brand work with LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant.
- Activision. Owned social, content, digital partnerships and influencer for Call of Duty, with Post Malone, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty and the biggest streamers in gaming. 6M+ new social followers and 100M+ earned impressions.
- Twitter. Helped lead the launch of NFT Profile Photos: consumer insights, positioning, messaging, product marketing, comms and go to market.
- WWE. Growth and brand marketing. Put MSCHF's Big Red Boots on Seth Rollins for a major event entrance, a moment covered from Complex to the fashion press.
- TONE. Ran marketing for Kai Cenat's personal care brand. Launched it nationally in Target with an overnight store takeover streamed live to 150K+ concurrent viewers. Designed the Island Breeze summer line and launched it with three Twitch streamers (12M+ community views). Concepted new products and sold them into Target.
- Atoms × MKBHD. Led launch marketing for the Atoms 251, a limited edition sneaker made with MKBHD.
He has worked with LeBron James, Post Malone, Kai Cenat, 21 Savage, MKBHD and other creators and celebrities on storytelling, product launches and brand collaborations.
Who it's for
Brands. Founders, CMOs and heads of brand at consumer companies, especially in gaming, sports, sneakers and streetwear, entertainment, beverage and consumer tech. Also the operators and investors behind creator founded and celebrity backed brands. Typical moment: launching something new, outgrowing the positioning, knowing creators matter but having no strategy for them, or needing senior marketing leadership without a full time hire.
Creators. Mid to large creators who have an audience and want a brand: something they own, a reason people choose them, and a plan for what to build beyond content. Often the buyer is the creator together with their manager.
The sweet spot is where the two meet: creator founded and celebrity backed brands that need creator insight and brand discipline at the same time.
What Secret Menu does
For brands
- Brand Strategy. Positioning, brand ethos, messaging and tone of voice. What the brand stands for, and the line that says it.
- Creator Strategy. How a brand works with creators as partners, not rented distribution. Which creators, what they should actually do, and the idea that makes it worth watching.
- Creative Direction. Campaign platforms, concepting, scripts, shoots and the edit, so the work ships with one clear point of view.
- Go To Market. From product conception through launch day. Product, retail, social and creators firing in one sequence.
- Marketing Leadership. A senior marketing brain in the room without another full time executive. Usually a monthly arrangement.
For creators
- Positioning. The story, and the deck your team takes into brand meetings.
- Partnership strategy. Which deals fit, which don't, and how to turn one off integrations into long term partnerships.
- What to build. Products, series and experiences the audience actually wants from you.
- Packaging. Naming and framing series and formats so brands can buy into them.
Your manager sells the deals. Secret Menu makes sure there's a brand worth selling, and works alongside your team. More on the Creators page.
Point of view
- A big budget isn't a brand, and neither is a big audience. Both need someone to find what's actually there and build on it.
- Most strategy dies in the deck. Secret Menu's strategy comes with creative direction attached and stays until the work ships.
- With influencers, you rent distribution. Creators are media companies with a community. You brief them, and they tell you how your brand fits into their work.
- For creators, the personality is the product. The quirks, the worldview and the relationship with the audience are the assets.
- The next big move for a creator usually isn't another sponsorship. It's what they have permission to build: a product, a franchise, an experience, a business.
- Brands and creators are converging. Brands are trying to act like creators, and creators are trying to become brands. Justin has worked on both sides of that table.
Selected work
- Nike Mamba Day: 2.9B owned and earned impressions. Kobe Bryant's final game.
- TONE × Target × Kai Cenat: 150K+ average concurrent live viewers across six channels, 30M+ clip views.
- Call of Duty: 6M+ new social followers, 100M+ earned impressions.
- TONE Island Breeze: creator led launch, 12M+ community views, 2.5M organic views on the commercial in 24 hours.
- WWE × MSCHF Big Red Boots: a fashion moment that ran well beyond wrestling.
- Atoms × MKBHD: launch marketing for the Atoms 251 sneaker.
- Twitter NFT Profile Photos: product marketing and go to market.
Clients
Brands: AG1, TONE, Drip, Clip Farm, Gym Class, Limitless.
Creators: Airrack, Sambucha.
Full list on the Clients page.
How engagements work
Every engagement starts with a conversation about the problem. From there it takes one of three shapes:
- Project. A defined scope, usually four to eight weeks. Brand strategy, a launch, a creator program. Ends with work that can ship.
- Monthly. Ongoing senior marketing leadership for brands and creators that want a senior lead without the hire.
- Creator engagement. Positioning, partnership strategy, what to build and packaging, shaped around where the creator is.
Scope and timing are set together on the first call.
A great fit
- A consumer brand launching, relaunching or outgrowing its positioning
- A brand that knows creators matter and wants a real strategy for working with them
- A company that wants senior marketing leadership in the room
- A creator founded or celebrity backed brand
- A creator with a real audience who wants to know what they own and what to build next
